Tennessee Titans Draft Auburn's Blackson

Auburn's Angelo Blackson was the opening pick on day three of the NFL Draft.

Defensive lineman Angelo Blackson was the first player selected on day three of the National Football?League Draft.

The No. 100th overall pick, the Auburn player was taken by the Tennessee Titans.

Playing in 13 games as a senior he made 12 solo tackles with five assists. He was credited with 5 1/2 tackles for lost yardage with three quarterback sacks. Blackson was also credited with six quarterback hurries.

As a true freshman in 2011 he played 13 games and was credited with four solo tackles and two assists.

In 2012 he started 10 times and played in two other games. Blackson made 12 solo tackles with 14 assists. He made seven tackles for losses with one quarterback sack.

Angelo Blackson Playing for the 2013 SEC champions, he saw action in 14 games and made four starts. He finished the season with six solo tackles with 10 assists along with three tackles for lost yardage including a half of a sack.

Also a basketball standout in high school, he is from Philadelphia and played at Red Lion Christian Academy in Bear, Delaware.

Auburn's first player drafted, wide receiver Sammie Coates, was taken by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the third round.

At the NFL Combine the defensive lineman measured in at 6-4, 318 pounds and he ran 40-yard dash times of 4.99 and 5.01 seconds.

Blackson got plenty of attention from scouts at Auburn's Pro Day. He measured in at 6-4 5/8, 315 pounds and did 21 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press.
