“It was just about seeing different players, some younger players and big-time players, it was great for me,” Jackson said. “It was just great meeting with the players and it was all smiles everyday at Auburn.
“I might say this was probably the biggest (of his Auburn visits),” he added. “The coaches just show their character every time. It has always been the same. They have always been great people and always care about their players. That’s what I like about Auburn.”
With a ton of offers from all over the country, the nation’s No. 12 defensive tackle said he’s getting closer to making a decision. With more visits and camps coming this summer, he said at the moment the Tigers are definitely on his list at the moment.
“I would say it’s coming soon,” Jackson said. “They (Auburn) are one of my top schools, most definitely. I would say some of the other schools that are recruiting me hard are USC, definitely Georgia, Alabama, Florida, and Ohio State is also up there.”
Saying that his comfort level with the school is one of the most important things he’s looking for when he makes his decision, Jackson said the opportunity for early playing time is high on his list as well. He said in the end for him it’s going to be all about the school however.
“I definitely have to love the school first-off,” Jackson said. “I know the coaches aren’t going anywhere, but I always have to love the school. That’s the number one thing.”
With his visits to Auburn in the double digits and more likely coming, that’s something that could bode very well for the Tigers when the time comes for Jackson to make his choice.
“I’m really comfortable there,” Jackson said. “I just feel like it’s home. My relationship with the coaches is really strong.”
