Rated a three-star tight end the rising senior at American Heritage High said his first visit to the AU was a good one and there is a possibility he will be back later in the year for an official visit.
Visiting AU with coaches and teammates from his high school team, Eubanks said his day in Auburn “went very well.”
He toured Auburn’s facilities and got a chance to talk with the coaches, including Travaris Robinson, who is recruiting Eubanks.
“He told me a lot about Auburn and said I would fit perfectly in the offense they run,” Eubanks noted. “He said I would be a great match up against linebackers and cornerbacks.”
Eubanks added that he watched video of Auburn’s offense and is impressed. “They said they would use me inside and outside,” said the prospect who noted that he feels comfortable lining up with his hand on the ground like a traditional tight end or lining up outside like a wide receiver.
The rising senior said he is currently 6-5 1/2, 225 pounds and pointed out he is still sorting out what colleges he likes the most. LSU and Alabama, two other programs he recently visited, are also high on his list. However, he noted that he doesn’t have a favorite and is in no hurry to make a decision.
“I will probably decide towards the end of January,” he said.
Eubanks also starts for the American Heritage basketball team and said he is being recruiting in that sport, too, but said that football is the one he plans to play in college.
