Auburn "Definitely Back In It" For 4-Star OT

Four-star OT E.J. Price had a great visit to Auburn on Wednesday and it put the Tigers right back in the mix for him.

Lawrenceville, Ga.--A one-time commitment to the Georgia Bulldogs, four-star offensive tackle E.J. Price was previously an Auburn lean before choosing Coach Mark Richt’s club. Now open on his college choice after opening up his recruiting this spring, Price was on the Plains Wednesday and left with Auburn once again very high on his list.

“It was great, it was great,” Price said. “I was glad to be able to get up there and work with Coach (J.B.) Grimes. He worked me out a lot and was very impressed by what he saw. I got to talk to Coach (Gus) Malzahn as well. It was a great experience.

“They definitely want me and I’m definitely high on their board,” he added. “They’re definitely going to be back in it for me. It (the visit) was huge, very huge.”

It was another chapter in what has become a crazy recruiting cycle for Price. With a different leader then a commitment and now back open, he said that right now he’s focusing on his senior season at Archer, but definitely likes what he sees from Auburn.

“I know it has kind of been a roller-coaster ride,” Price said. “Like I said, they’re going to be one of my top schools and I’m talking top three.”

With Florida State the only other school he would put at the top at the moment, Price said he’s keeping his options open but didn’t hesitate to put the Tigers and Seminoles at the top of his list. Planning to get back to a game this season Price said he’s focused on his senior season at the moment and doesn’t have a timetable for a decision.
