Four-Star 2017 Athlete Puts Auburn In Top 5

Jamyest Williams discusses his visit to Auburn and why the Tigers made an impact.

Lawrenceville, Ga.--Rated a four-star prospect and the No. 9 athlete in the country by Scout, speedy Jamyest Williams was on Auburn’s campus Wednesday along with fellow four-star teammate E.J. Price. Spending time checking out the campus before camping with the Tigers, he said the day went very well.

“It was a great visit,” Williams said. “I loved it.”

Spending time with Gus Malzahn and Travaris Robinson while on his visit, Williams said both are guys he enjoyed getting to learn more about. Working as a defensive back, Williams said Robinson was especially fun to get on the field with and he could see himself playing for him in the future.

“It was a great chance to work with Coach T-Rob and I got a chance to talk to Coach Malzahn,” Williams said. “They love me here and I love it here, too.

“Coach T-Rob is a very aggressive coach and that’s what I like to see, a guy who is going to work me and work me hard and not just go through the motions.”

With Auburn in his current top five at the moment along with Clemson, Florida State, Georgia and Texas A&M, Williams said he hopes to make a visit to see a game in Jordan-Hare Stadium this fall.
