“It was a tremendous experience,” Griffin said. “It was my first time ever getting up there. Just going out there and competing and getting coached by great coaches like T Rob (Travaris Robinson) and Muschamp, it was a tremendous outlook. It was just good.
“I was blessed enough to get a scholarship there,” he added. “I just piggy-backed on my performance today, they loved it. They liked my arms, my technique, being patient, the whole nine yards of being a corner. Of course I still have lots and lots of things to work on, but for the most part it was great.”
Currently committed to the Wildcats and with several other top offers, Griffin said it’s big news getting an offer from Auburn but at the moment he’s just going to focus on continuing the recruiting process. That means checking out other schools and likely taking a trip back to Auburn this fall.
“It’s crazy,” Griffin said. “It’s truly a blessing. I give all of the glory to the Man upstairs. It has been great. I can’t complain at all.
“Facilities and things of that nature really don’t do too much to me, but just the way they treated me up there, they treated me with respect,” he added of what stood out about Auburn. “I liked the way they coached, that’s a key thing that I look at during my recruiting process.”
Griffin said he’s trying to get back to Auburn soon for another visit and hopes to be on campus for a game this fall.
