Wanting them to get a feel for Auburn and what it’s all about, Davis said everything about the trip went well and has him liking the Tigers.
“They’re definitely one of my top schools,” he said. “I don’t have a Top 10 or anything, but they’re definitely on my mind as a top school.”
Getting his first taste of watching Auburn practice, Davis said he enjoyed getting to see the Tigers in action and that was especially true of Will Muschamp.
“Today was more in-depth and just talking,” Davis said. “It was my first time seeing them practice so I enjoyed it. Coach Muschamp is really a great coach. He’s really about his business and motivates the players to get better every day.”
Paying close attention to the linebackers meant watching four seniors on the field for the Tigers with three (Cassanova McKinzy, Kris Frost, Justin Garrett) in the top four at the position early in camp. That means the opportunity for early playing time, something Davis said he likes about Auburn.
“I think if I go there I would have a really good chance to play early,” Davis said. “They’ve got some guys that are going to be leaving. If I decide to go there it would mean a lot of playing time.”
Planning to be back in Auburn this year for one of his official visits and also expected to make a trip for the Iron Bowl, Davis said he’s also planning to visit both Alabama and LSU officially as well.
