“I knew I had to get one more visit in to Auburn before I commit just so I could feel right on my decision and everything before I make that final decision,” Laguins said. “I don’t want to feel wishy-washy going into it or anything. The visit really helped. I really feel strong about Auburn.”
One of the things Laguins wanted to see was Will Muschamp’s defense in action on the field. Paying special attention to the linebackers he said the Tigers should be a different animal in 2015.
“That defense is amazing,” Laguins said. “I feel like it’s truly on its way to do something special. You get the right guys in there playing the right positions, playing fast and tough and mean, they are really going to do something special.
“Coach Muschamp, I have always liked his style of defense,” he added. “Ever since I first saw him at Florida I have always felt like his defense was right.”
Making his announcement on Wednesday, Laguins said there are several things he’ll be looking for when the final decision comes to him.
“It’s really just the family basis,” Laguins said. “I’m trying to go somewhere I know I can go for four years and feel comfortable and all that.”
