Montgomery Ala.--It was a big night for Auburn commitment Malik Miller and the Madison Academy Mustangs on Friday night as they took down Leeds 19-14 in the season opener for both teams and avenged the only loss last season for the defending 3A champs. With Leeds coming off a 4A title themselves it was a big first step for Miller and company.
In the first game without Auburn freshman Kerryon Johnson, Miller was the workhorse for Madison Academy as he carried the ball 24 times for 146 yards and a touchdown while also adding a big 26-yard reception. Playing both ways and fighting through cramps, Miller was a big reason for the victory.
He talks about his team's win, continuing his role as a two-way player, what it means for his team, and also talks about his commitment to Auburn in this exclusive video.
