The surface of the new artificial turf practice field is fully in place with only finishing touches remaining. Here is a shot from the north end zone.
The end zones are painted blue and orange and will have Auburn in one end and Tigers in the other. Here is a shot of the blue end zone.
Here workers paint the hash marks on the field for use next week. The field is a full 100 yards with almost 20 extra yards of working space in the north end.
The same artificial surface has also been installed in Auburn's indoor facility. Here is a shot of the turf.
Different than normal artificial turf that doesn't give very much, this version called Sprinturf is made to feel much like real grass and has rubber gratings filled in to give a cushion at impact. Here is a closeup shot of the surface.
