Talented Wide Receiver Elijah Stove Planning To "Stick With Auburn"

Auburn wide receiver commitment Elijah Stove said he's planning to stick with the Tigers following his official visit.

Niceville, Fla.--Part of what has a chance to be a very strong wide receiver group for the Auburn Tigers in the 2016 class, speedy four-star Elijah Stove has been committed to the Tigers since Big Cat Weekend in May. Over the weekend Stove was back in Auburn for his official visit and left still very much solidly committed to the Tigers.

“Everything really,” Stove said of what stood out on his Auburn visit. “I’m always there so I’m not trying to expect too much. This is my school and anything they do for me and my family is fine.

“I had some fun with the guys,” he added. “My family got to know more of the coaches and the new staff.”

While several schools have tried to get into the mix with Stove, he said that he remains solid with Auburn. That won’t keep him from possibly taking a pair of visits before signing day however with Florida and Miami both potential trips the next two weekends. Even so, Stove said his visit to Auburn only confirmed what he already knew.

“I feel pretty good, the same as always,” Stove said. “I’m still going to stick with Auburn. I’m just looking around just in case. I’m going to stick with Auburn until I see something different, which I haven’t.

“It’s amazing really,” he added. “They stuck with me through everything. They were probably the first school that was really on me about everything. They were just true to their word.”

Elijah Stove plays a position of need for the Tigers in their 2016 recruiting class.

Stove spent plenty of his time on the visit working on trying to get other prospe ts on board with the Tigers. That included big-time defensive tackle Derrick Brown as well as talented receiver Nate Craig along with his brother Jayvaughn Myers, a cornerback. With quarterback commitment Woody Barrett also visiting, Craig said he and his future quarterback just talked about the future after getting to know each other during the recruiting process.

After having Florida coaches in his home this past week, Craig said Auburn Coaches Dameyune Craig and Gus Malzahn will be visiting him on his birthday, which is Thursday.
