Birmingham, Ala.--Recently named as a four-star prospect by Scout.com for the 2017 class, 6-3, 221 linebacker Tadarian Moultry has been on the Auburn campus several times already and was back recently to check out the Tigers and Coach Gus Malzahn’s program. Getting the chance to spend time getting to know new coordinator Kevin Steele as well as linebackers coach Travis Williams, Moultry said the trip went very well.
“I loved the experience,” Moultry said. “I liked the dorm rooms. I liked the food. I love the weight room. That’s like home right there.
“He (Steele) is like family. He’s like my coach. I like my coach to be like a family. I could care less about a program. I would go for the program, but I like to be a family with my coaches.”
Currently with offers from programs such as Auburn, Alabama, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Clemson and Troy, Moultry said he feels like Georgia, LSU and Tennessee could be closest to pulling the trigger next.
Scheduled to be back at Auburn on Feb. 20 and at Alabama on Feb. 27, Moultry said he doesn’t have any plans to make an early decision at the moment and is just waiting on the right moment and fit before hell make a commitment.
“I’m just enjoying it right now,” Moultry said. “I know that at the right time I’ll do it, when I know what school I want to go to.”
