Class of 2018 Running Back Prospect Visits Auburn

Running back prospect Asa Martin continues to show interest in Coach Gus Malzahn's Auburn Tigers.

Bradenton, Fla.--Asa Martin, a class of 2018 running back prospect who is attending IMG?Academy, visited the Auburn campus to talk with the coaches and says that he continues to be interested in the Tigers.

“It was a nice visit,” Martin tells Inside the Auburn Tigers. “The campus was awesome, everything was awesome. I?had a nice time talking to all of the coaches and everything.

Martin, who notes that he is currently 5-11, 194 pounds, made the move to IMG Academy after playing his sophomore season at Austin High School in Decatur, Ala.

“Basically, I?just talked football with Coach,” he says of spending time at Auburn with Tim Horton, who coaches running backs for the Tigers. “They haven’t offered me yet, but I think it’s coming soon.

“My recruitment has picked up a bunch since I moved to IMG,” Martin says. “I have picked up six offers since I have been here.

“My goal as a football player is to get bigger and better and obviously I am doing that at IMG,” he adds.

Asked what he sees as his best attributes as running back, Martin says, “I think I’m real quick and fast.
