Perkinston, Miss.--Recently naming a top four of Auburn Tigers, Alabama, LSU and Ole Miss, four-star defensive end Isaiah Buggs from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College is in no rush to make a decision with his season just getting underway on Thursday night with a loss to Itawamba Community College.
One of the top players in the country at his position, the 6-5, 290 Buggs said following the game that he’s just taking things very slowly as he tries to find his future home.
“I’m just going to take my time on it,” Buggs said. “I’m going to see which school is the best for me. I’m just going to be patient on it and right now I’m focusing on Gulf Coast.”
While it has been rumored that Buggs was close to a decision recently and could be doing something soon, he said that’s not the case at all for him saying it’s “day by day”.
With no official visits set at this time the talented defensive lineman will continue his run of unofficial looks at Auburn this weekend when Gus Malzahn’s Tigers take on the No. 2 Clemson Tigers at Jordan-Hare Stadium
“I’m coming to Auburn this weekend,” Buggs said. “I’ll be there.”
Already very familiar with the campus, coaches and facilities on the Plains after taking several visits dating back to last spring, Buggs said getting to see a game and an atmosphere like he’ll witness Saturday night has him pumped.
“I’m looking forward to it,” Buggs said. “I’m looking forward to it a lot.”
