Auburn, Ala.--The first ever visit to Missouri highlights the Auburn Tigers 2017 football schedule as Coach Gus Malzahn’s program plays five road games, including a trip to Clemson in week two of the schedule.
Making four very short trips in league play this year to Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Georgia and Alabama, Auburn will take four of the longest trips possible in the Southeastern Conference with visits to Missouri, Texas A&M, LSU and Arkansas on the schedule next fall. Three of those games come in a row with Auburn visiting LSU and Arkansas on back-to-back weeks in October. Following a bye week Auburn will travel to Texas A&M to complete the trio of road trips.
Only facing Missouri twice in school history, the first coming in the 1973 Sun Bowl and the most recent in the 2013 SEC Championship Game, Auburn’s visit to Columbia on Sept. 23 will open league play for AU. For Missouri it will be the last of four consecutive home games to start the season with Missouri State, South Carolina and Purdue all traveling to Columbia before Auburn.
Home games against Georgia and Alabama highlight the games at Jordan-Hare Stadium with Mississippi State and Ole Miss also coming to the Plains.
