Miami, Fla.--One of the top athletes in Florida for the 2017 class, four-star athlete Christopher Henderson was on Plains over the weekend to check out the Auburn Tigers. Visiting along with his family to see Coach Gus Malzahn’s team win its sixth-straight game, Henderson said everything about the visit went great.
“The visit went a lot better than I expected,” Henderson said. “They moved up a lot. It was a great visit. I got to hang out with the players and coaches and experience how it is up there.
“It was a great atmosphere, better than I expected with it being against Vanderbilt.”
Capable of playing on either side of the ball on the next level, the former Miami commitment said he got to spend a lot of time with guys like Carlton Davis and Jeremiah Dinson and could see himself fitting in well at Auburn.
“They told me how they felt about it,” Henderson said. “With them being from Miami, I could relate.”
Planning on making a commitment at the Under Armour All-American Game on Jan. 1 in Orlando, Henderson said right now Auburn is one of the four schools on his list along with Florida, Georgia and Miami.
