Player of the Week: Junior Jay Estes started the week as a second baseman and ended the week as an outfielder, but it didn’t keep him from tearing it up at the plate in the process. Going 7-16 with seven runs scored and three RBI in five games, Estes had four doubles in the three game sweep of Florida. For the year he’s batting .338 with a team-high seven doubles.

Pitcher of the Week: While you could go with Keegan Thompson or even Cole Lipscomb out of the bullpen, sophomore Casey Mize earned the honor this week after giving up just one run on five hits in seven innings while striking out eight Florida hitters on Saturday. As efficient as he’s been this season, Mize only walked one to push his strikeout to walk ratio to 46-5 this season.
