Auburn Lands FSU Grad Transfer O-Lineman Wilson Bell

Auburn landed a big grad transfer addition on Friday with FSU offensive lineman Wilson Bell choosing the Tigers.

Tallahassee, Fla.--A player that almost chose Auburn out of Blount High in Prichard, Ala. before signing with Florida State, big offensive lineman Wilson Bell picked the Tigers the second time around after committing to Gus Malzahn's program on Friday following his decision to transfer from the Seminoles as a graduate.

A powerful offensive lineman, Bell started every game at right guard in 2015 for the Seminoles but was banged up as a redshirt junior. Starting the opener against Ole Miss, Bell missed the next seven weeks before starting the final four games of the regular season for Florida State.

With 15 starts under his belt, the 6-5, 320-pounder should be just what the Tigers are looking for to shore up the offensive line heading into the 2017 season.

With starting center Austin Golson back in the middle and fellow senior Braden Smith shifting out to right tackle, Auburn feels good about four parts of the offensive line at the moment with Darius James at left tackle and Mike Horton at right guard. The addition of Bell means even more competition for redshirt sophomore Marquel Harrell when Auburn opens preseason practices in August.
