Carnell WilliamsMark Murphy: Did it feel good to get out there and get some action last week coming back from your ankle sprain?
Cadillac: "Yes sir, it felt real good just to get back in that game mode and get a chance to play. It felt great."
Mark Murphy: It looked like you were running better at Syracuse than you did in the first game? Were you doing a better job of making your reads and seeing what was open?
Cadillac:"Yes sir, I was more relaxed. I mean, more confident. At first, I was real uptight, nervous, trying to do too much. I'm just learning, you know, to let the game come to me and not rush it."
Mark Murphy: How are you doing with your ankle?
Cadillac: "My ankle is coming along very well so I feel like that shouldn't be a factor for Saturday."
Mark Murphy: Are you're going to be around 95 percent or 100 percent of full speed this week?
Cadillac: "I'll be very close to 100 percent."
Mark Murphy: What do you guys need to do, on offense, to be more successful than you were last week?
Cadillac: "I just feel like we should be more consistent. I mean, some places we showed some flash, some greatness, but we were just not consistent. To be a great offense, we're going to have to be consistent. I feel like if we get everybody on the same page and become consistent that we'll be successful."
Mark Murphy: Have you guys had a good week of practice?
Cadillac: "Yes sir. The tempo has been right. We haven't been feeling sorry for ourselves. We're hoping that was a wake-up call last week. So, we're really looking forward to this Saturday."
Mark Murphy: Do you have any idea how much time you're going to play this week?
Cadillac: "I really have no idea. I'm pretty sure I'm going to play a little bit more than I did last week."
Mark Murphy: Is there any particular thing that stands out about the Vandy defense from watching videos of their earlier games this season?
Cadillac: "They're a very sound defense. They don't have much speed, but they're well coached. It's going to be a very big challenge for our running backs because they blitz a lot so we will have to pick up our blitz assignments to protect the quarterback.
"If we do that we will have a chance to make some big plays. If we don't, they will get to the quarterback before our receivers have time to break free on their routes. That is something we can't allow to happen."
Mark Murphy: "Do you expect to see a lot of eight-man fronts?
Cadillac: "Right. They like to put up eight or nine. On every front they are always going to bring more than you can possibly block. There's going to be a lot of blitzing this week so we're going to have to be on our P's and Q's."
