"It's going alright," Hinds tells Inside The Auburn Tigers. "I'm hearing from Auburn, Mississippi State and Memphis the most. Pretty much I have three schools left. I'm going to visit both Mississippi State and Memphis. I know I have the visits, but I'm not sure about the dates. I'll make my decision after my three visits."
His first visit was to Auburn on the weekend when the Tigers defeated arch-rival Alabama at Jordan-Hare Stadium in the regular season finale. Hinds says the weekend was a good one for him and he was surprised by the passion of the fans in attendance.
"It was fun," Hinds says. "Reggie Torbor was one of my players hosts. All the fans really made the trip stand out in my mind."
A versatile player that played both offense and defense for Southaven, Hinds had over 700 yards rushing and 300-plus receiving yards from his running back position and scored 16 touchdowns. He added 89 tackles on defense as a linebacker. A three-year starter on defense, Hinds is being recruited as a linebacker by most schools, but has the ability to play safety and even running back on the next level.
In addition to his play on the football field, Hinds also excels as a small forward for the basketball team and runs track in the spring.
