Football Prospect Discusses Visit To Auburn

This talented prospect discusses his official visit to the Plains.

Lilburn, Ga.--Running back Brad Lester says that his official visit weekend to Auburn was a good one and a busy one.

The 5-11, 183 tailback from Parkview High School announced last summer that he was going to be a Tiger and says that he is looking forward to being a Tiger.

"I am going to come to Auburn next June to get an early start getting ready for my freshman season," he says.

Lester was one of 19 prospects taking official visits to Auburn this past weekend. He says that one of the prospects from the Atlanta area he talked to over the weekend, cornerback Corey Mays, told Lester he will be a Tiger. "He committed to Auburn," Lester says.

"On Friday first we came in and went to the hotel and went out to dinner at O'Charley's and ate for a while," he says. "Then we went out to a club called Twista's. That was pretty fun out there. The next morning we woke up and had all of the meetings with the coaches and the academic people. Last night we did the thing with our jerseys in locker room. I liked that a lot.

On Saturday night, we went to a party put on Travis Williams and that was a lot of fun, too."

Lester had a tailback showing him around campus and town. "Ronnie Brown was my host," Lester says. "I also spent a lot of time with Carnell Williams because those two guys were together all of the time."

Lester says he got to meet another running back who was visiting from Louisiana, tailback Jerald Watson. "I told him that I hope he comes to Auburn," Lester says.

Lester was one of Auburn's early verbal commitments, announcing on July 8th that he would sign with the Tigers.
