Defensive Prospect Enjoys Meeting AU Players

One of Auburn's official visitors to a big weekend for football recruits talks about his trip to see the Tigers.

Leighton, Ala.--One of Auburn's early commitments says that he really enjoyed his one and only official visit of the recruiting season and that he is very strong in his commitment to play for the Tigers.

A quick and athletic ainebacker from Colbert County High School, Courtney Harden says that he and his player host T.J. Jackson got along great on a weekend that he says only cemented his decision to play for Tommy Tuberville and the Tigers.

"It went great," The 6-1 207-pounder with 4.6 speed says. "I had a great time with T.J. and Ben (Grubbs) who showed me around.

Harden notes that he had quite a bit to do while he was in town for his official visit. "Friday when I got there they let us go to our rooms and later in the day we had to go down to meet our hostess," he says. "Then us and our parents separated and we went with our player hosts and went to eat with them wherever we wanted to and spent the rest of the night with the player hosts."

During his visit Harden says that he got to hang out with a myriad of his future teammates and that he felt pretty close to all of them.

I hung out with Cadillac, Ronnie Brown, Jason Campbell, T.J., Ben, Silas Daniels, and Reggie Torbor. They made me feel like everything was okay because they showed me that they really fit together with one another."

Like many future college football players do today, Harden says that he is planning on heading down to Auburn early this summer so that he can begin working out with his new teammates. "I know that I am coming during the summer, but I think that it is like the first of June."
