"It went good," Manning tells Inside The Auburn Tigers about his visit to Auburn. "I met with the coaches and met with the players. We had a good time. My host was Kevis Burnam and we got along great. I would rate my visit about a nine.
"I just like how they stressed academics, they stress it a lot at Auburn," he adds. "When we went to the academic part of the program they had a presentation about it stressing how the people make the school and not the wall or buildings. That stood out to me."
A 6-0, 205-pounder with 4.5 speed in the 40-yard dash, Gallon has already visited Nebraska this fall and says that visits to Florida State, Miami and Tennessee will help him make his final choice sometime around signing day.
"I don't know what I'm going to do yet," Gallon says. "I still have to take my Miami, Florida State and Tennessee visits and I should know by then. I'll have a chance to evaluate everybody. I'm going to Tennessee next week and then I'm going to try to squeeze in a Miami visit, then I have Florida State."
While his list is still a long one, Gallon says that his teammate's list isn't any shorter heading into the heart of the recruiting season. After visiting Nebraska together earlier Gallon says the two were together this weekend for much of the time and Manning is wide open with two visits left.
"Me and him hung out the whole trip basically," Gallon says. "We both enjoyed ourselves. I know he's looking at Syracuse, Nebraska and Auburn and he's going to visit Tennessee and Florida State with me."
