Offensive Line Prospect Talks About Tigers

This in-state lineman talks about his interest in Auburn and about possibly making a decision this week.

Huntsville, Ala.--Offensive line prospect Jason Bosley says he is very interested in the Auburn Tigers and is expecting to get a visit from Auburn head coach Tommy Tuberville this week.

A 6-4, 273-pounder with good quickness and explosiveness, Bosley tells Inside The Auburn Tigers that he may be ready to make an announcement on his college choice as early as this week.

"Coach Tuberville is coming to the school tomorrow and we'll probably plan all that out," Bosley says. "I'm expecting to get the go-ahead to commit on Tuesday or Wednesday. I'll get my coach to set up a press conference on Tuesday or Wednesday and make it official."

With offers from UAB, Vanderbilt and some smaller colleges, Bosley is waiting to hear on a scholarship offer from Auburn.

Jason Bosley

A standout wrestler for Grissom in addition to his exploits on the football field as a three-year starter at guard, Bosley won the Section Championship this past weekend in Huntsville and has a record of 28-4 this season. He will take part in the state championships next weekend in Pelham. A player that projects as a guard or center on the collegiate level, Bosley says those positions fit his strengths well.

"I think my strengths are my quickness," Bosley says. "I get off the ball really quick and I think that's a plus. My pass blocking is probably my best area. I need to keep working on my run blocking, not to say that it's bad or anything. My strength is my pass blocking and the way that I get off the ball when I'm pulling."

A visitor to Auburn for summer camp as well as games against USC, Tennessee, Mississippi State and Alabama, Bosley is no stranger to the Auburn program and says that he feels comfortable about the situation on the Plains. He also has ties to Auburn that should make his final decision a comfortable one in the Bosley household.

"My brother is at Auburn right now and my dad went to Auburn to get his master's degree," Bosley says. "I have pretty much been an Auburn fan most of my life."
