In the meantime his father said all they can do is just wait and see what happens with offers from Georgia Tech and Middle Tennessee State already in pocket.
"He's just waiting to hear from Auburn," his father said Sunday night. "Auburn is waiting to hear back from those two other linemen they've offered scholarships to and they expected to hear back from them and will give us a call tomorrow night."
Nathan McManus attended Auburn's summer camp and was a two-year starter for Coach Joey Jones at Mountain Brook High School.
A player who's status has risen dramatically in the last few weeks because of interest from the Tigers and Yellow Jackets, McManus is a self-proclaimed Auburn fan who grew up following the Tigers. Still that will only go so far and Monday night appears to be the deadline he will wait before making a decision.
"We're going to wait until tomorrow night and if Auburn doesn't call then we're just going to presume it's a no," McManus' father said. "They promised us they would call."
