"I'm visiting tomorrow," Gandy tells Inside The Auburn Tigers. "I didn't get to see a lot of the school when I was on my visit. I just mostly met people then, but I want to be around more of the players."
Being recruited as a safety by both the Tigers and Rebels, Gandy says that they plan to leave home at 4 a.m. on Thursday to make their way to Auburn to check out the campus. Having visited both schools officially already this January Gandy says that he likes several things about both schools and says the Rebels have some things he's looking for just like Auburn.
"I think I have a real good chance of playing there," Gandy says of Ole Miss. "It's a pretty good school and I think they are on the rise."
While he says he is down to just two schools, the decision is far from being over at the moment for Gandy. Obviously battling over his choice he says that he likely won't know which school he'll choose until he sees Auburn one more time on Thursday.
"It's still open," Gandy says. "This is the hardest thing I've ever done. I can't go outside right now (because of people asking him where he's going to school). It's tough."
A teammate of fullback Michael McLaughlin who visited Auburn last weekend, Gandy says the two are close and have talked in the last few days, but their relationship won't be a factor in choosing a school because the decision is too important for that to come into play.
"It's been mentioned," Gandy says of playing at the same school. "I wish him the best of luck, but my thing is that I'm not somewhere because he goes somewhere. If he ends up there that will be fine and if he doesn't that will be fine. I'm not going to base my decision on him."
