That is the word from Rodney Gallon, a 6-0, 205-pound linebacker who says that he has narrowed his choices to hometown FSU, where he visited this weekend, along with Auburn and Tennessee. He says that teammate Joe Manning, a cornerback who is also considering Auburn, will join him on a local TV show to announce their college choices.
If Gallon already has decided where he is headed, he isn't saying. "I like all three colleges," he says.
Commenting on the Seminoles, he says, "I know a lot about them having grown up here in Tallahassee. I know what to expect if I go there. I feel good about the school academically and socially because I know so many people who are already there. I like the coaches a lot.
"I really like the environment at Auburn," he adds. "My visit there was real good. I like the way the team is like a big family. They are a program that is coming on strong and I really like Coach Tuberville. He does a great job. I visited Nebraska and it was very different for me growing up in the Southeast, but Auburn felt a lot more like home. Auburn is also strong academically and that is a big plus.
"I like Tennessee, too," says Gallon, who had 131 tackles as a senior. "They send a lot of players to the NFL and they are good academically, too, like the other colleges I am considering. I can get a good degree at Tennessee and I liked the players and the coaching staff when I visited there."
Gallon and teammates Manning and Calvin Darity took their official visits to FSU and will announce their decisions on the Channel 6 News in Tallahassee on Monday.
