Athletic Lineman Signs With Tigers

Auburn gets some help on the defensive front with this imposing athlete in the fold.

Reserve, La.--One of the largest defensive commitments for the Tigers signed on the dotted line Wednesday when defensive standout Korey Raymond made it official at a ceremony at East St. John High. The 6-4, 260-pounder came on late in the recruiting process for the Tigers and committed just days before signing day.

Just a one-year football player who played basketball as a sophomore and junior after transferring from another school, Raymond is a player that his head coach likens to former standout Kirston Pittman, now a player at LSU.

A standout basketball player this season Raymond is averaging 14.5 points and 12.5 rebounds per game for East St. John this season. Raymond's athleticism is abundantly clear and his future in football is looking brighter by the minute.
