Early Verbal Ready For Early Start at AU

Thsi talented tailback is looking to follow in a long line of successful backs at Auburn.

Lilburn, Ga.--Brad Lester Made it official that he would be a Tiger Wednesday when he backed up his commitment and signed a National Letter of Intent at Parkview High School.

The 5-11, 185-pound tailback, who committed to the Tigers in July, rushed for 2,057 yards and 20 touchdowns this season. Lester, who benches 300-pounds and power cleans 335, played for a Parkview team that went 55-2 and won three consecutive state titles in his four years.

The lightning quick back, who runs a 4.39 forty and has a 42-inch vertical leap, picked the Tigers over Virginia and Duke and was hearing from Florida, Florida State, Georgia and Georgia Tech prior to his commitment.

Like many incoming freshman do these days, Lester says that he will be heading to the Plains over the summer to begin taking classes and start working out with the team.
