Big Linebacker Joing Tiger Program

This early Auburn commitment stuck with his word and signed with the Tigers on Wednesday.

Blakely, Ga.--Octavious Balkcom signed his name to a National Letter of Intent to play his college football for Tommy Tuberville and his Auburn Tigers on Wednesday.

The 6-4, 230-pound linebacker prospect, who first committed to Auburn back in October, was a big time playmaker on defense for Early County High School throughout his career. Balkcom chose the Tigers over Florida State and Tennessee.

The speedy linebacker runs a 4.65 40 and amassed nearly 100 tackles this season and had over 60 solo stops as a junior. The athletic Balkcom was also an All-Region tight end as a junior.
