South Alabama Standout Plans To Be A Tiger

Auburn's recruiting class continues to grow with another addition.

Prichard, Ala.--Blount High School linebacker Chris Evans has signed scholarship papers with the Tigers.

A 6-0, 217-pounder, who was a rare four-year starter at the traditional Mobile area football power, picked Auburn over North Carolina State, Southern Miss, Louisville and around a dozen other offers.

"I like the college, the tradition, the people, the coaches and academic programs at Auburn," says Brown, who is an honor student with a perfect 4.0 grade point average.

Evans, who had 105 tackles as a senior, says he is excited about AU's engineering program and the chance to play for the Tigers.

"I really like Coach Tuberville and Coach Whitt," he notes.
