Junior College DL is a Big-Timer

East Mississippi DE Zac Anderson left high school as a slender 6'4 225lbs, but that seems like ages ago now that Zac has ballooned to a much heavier 265lbs. Although gaining that much weight is highly impressive, it's even more remarkable that he's turned himself into a big time '05 defensive line prospect with the position change he's had to undertake.

"I put on about 40lbs since I got here by just working hard and trying hard in the weight room. I was a quarterback in high school. If you know Anthony Mix at Auburn, I used to throw to him back then, I just happened to put on a lot of pounds over the summer," Zac Anderson said.

What teams is Zac interested in early on?

"That's a hard question because I like a lot of them. Some of those schools are LSU, Florida State, Texas A&M, and of course the instate schools Auburn and Alabama."

What are the most important recruiting factors for the Bay Minette, AL native?

"It's not the only thing, but if I can play early that would be big. I know I can play with those big boys."

What will Anderson be looking for on his official visits?

"I want to see what kind of players are there. See if I can play with them and fit in."

Does Zac consider himself more of a pass rusher, or a run stopper?

"I think I'm one of those players you can stick out there to get that big sack when you need it. If you need me to stop the run, I can make the tackle. I can play every down."

The former Baldwin high standout recorded 10 sacks a year ago and lead EMCC in tackles with 85.
