Adam Coffee of Northwestern in Miami, Fla. is a big linebacker at 6-1 and 239 pounds. With his size and 4.9 quickness, he will likely play with his hand down on the college level at either defensive end or defensive tackle. He has very good lateral movement and is extremely strong with a 365 pound bench press and a 550 squat. He's even better in the classroom, posting a 3.8 GPA.
Coffee had 78 tackles as a junior and he added 250 yards rushing. He has already picked up one offer, and he names a Top 5.
"Auburn offered me a scholarship," said Coffee. "Right now my Top 5 is Miami, Florida State, Florida, Ohio State, and Auburn. I went to three Miami games last year. I saw them play Florida, Temple, and Tennessee. Miami was my favorite team growing up. All of my favorites have invited me to come to their spring games. I'll be going to the Miami spring game on Saturday."
Northwestern went 14-1 last season, and they return a good portion of their team with 13 starters coming back. Coffee plans on attending camps this summer at USF, Miami, and LSU.
