Big Georgia Lineman Names Leader

Andre Barbour of North Springs High School in Atlanta names a Top 5 with a leader.

"My top 5 is Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Maryland and Oklahoma. I want to get out of state. Just a change of scenery," Andre Barbour said.

Who leads right now?

"Auburn is in front. I went there for a camp and they really made me feel like I was part of the team and a part of their family."

What does Andre like about the other schools on his list?

Florida: "I like the feel down there and the southern vibe. My teammate Channing Crowder goes there as well."
Florida St: "I went to their game against Clemson and even though we were at Clemson, I still felt that FSU vibe."
Maryland: "I had a teammate go up there and he said the campus is nice. They're supposed to have great scenery."
Oklahoma: "So far their coach seems like he's a really good person. They just have a lot of fun."

What is most important to Barbour in picking a school?

"I want a place with good academics and they have to have good sports overall. Everyone on the team needs to feel like a family, and their classes should have a low student to teacher ratio."

Andre is an excellent student, and already projects as a full qualifier.

"I have a 3.0 and I got a 22 on my ACT. I'm trying to get that higher though because I'm not an average person whatsoever. I'd like major in something to do with science so I'm looking at schools with a good math and science degree. Sports Medicine is what I'm really thinking about."

Barbour will attend TheInsiders/MSL Combine in Atlanta on May 1st.
