Columbus, Miss.--Stacy Jones of Columbus High School said that he has been racking up the scholarship offers this month.

"My top five right now is LSU, Miami, Auburn, Alabama and Florida," said Jones. "I went to spring games this year at Alabama, Georgia, Auburn, and Mississippi State. LSU is still my leader. We start spring practice next week, but I'm not going to be able to go for the first week because I'll be throwing the discus in the state competition."

As one of the top athletes in the state of Mississippi, Jones will be welcomed back to the practice field after he completes his track duty at the state meet.

As a junior, he posted 135 tackles and 12 quarterback sacks. He also saw some time at tight end and caught five passes for 125 yards. He is a strong athlete who benches 320 pounds and has a 575 squat.
