Running Back Traveling South For The Summer

This talented running back prospect from Virginia is planning on making a couple of trips down South for camps this summer including a visit to Auburn.

Darrieus Ramsey, one of the top running backs in the state of Virginia, has been taking a unofficial visits throughout the spring.

"I went to Maryland for their spring game," Ramsey said. "Maryland was really nice. It was just a real peaceful place. The campus was really nice and I got to meet the Under Armor crazy guy from television. That was really cool."

He also attended Virginia's spring game. "I have been to Virginia a few times before," the upcoming senior said. "I'm starting to get a really good feel of it. It is a really nice campus."

Last weekend the running back prospect attended a combine and had a very impressive day. "I ran a 4.34 in the forty," he noted. "I had a standing broad jump of nine feet and I benched 185-pounds seven times."

Several coaches were in attendance at the combine and were able to watch Ramsey perform. "Coaches from William and Mary, Maryland, Virginia, Penn State and Tennessee were there," Ramsey replied.

New letters have been coming in the mail for this talented running back. "I have received three new letters from Nebraska," he explained.

Ramsey has expressed interest in Alabama and he does have some ties to the area with his father hailing from Birmingham. "I have received my first letter from Alabama," he added.

The summer camp schedule is not final, however, Ramsey said he does intend on making a few trips south. "I'm planning to go to Alabama, Auburn, Virginia, Florida State, and either Maryland or Ohio State," he explained.

The speedy prospect is looking for his first offer and names his current favorites as Alabama, Florida State, Maryland, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Nebraska, Ohio State and South Carolina.
