He currently holds three offers and more should be on the way this summer.
"I like Georgia, Florida State, Florida, Auburn and Clemson the most," King added about his early favorites. "Georgia is still my leader."
Why are the Dawgs on top?
"It's the closest school to home," he explained. "I really like Coach Martinez and Coach Richt and I feel like every time I go up there I get to know the players more and more."
What stands out about the other teams on his list?
Florida State: "I talked to Coach Bowden a couple of times. I really liked Coach Kirby Smart, but he left for LSU. I've always liked FSU though."
Florida: "I just like Florida. It's a big D-I school and I love how Zook is so intense."
Auburn: "I like their colors. I've always just liked Auburn as well."
Clemson: "I like Tommy Bowden. I've been there a couple of times and I like the town."
What is King looking for most in a college?
"I just want to find a city I like," the two-way prospect explained. "I also want to know how early I can play. I just want a chance to compete."
What does King believe his biggest adjustment will be when he makes the move from quarterback to defensive back?
"I know I can run so that will help me immediately," he noted. "I'll have to perfect my tackling especially in run support."
Despite standing just 5-11 and currently weighing 182 pounds, King is very strong. "I've gotten my bench up to 335 pounds and I can squat 405 pounds now."
The Warner Robins native said he plans on staying busy this summer attending camps.
"I've already talked to Kyle Moore and we are going to go to a ton of camps," King said. "We'll be at Florida, Maryland, Georgia, Auburn, Florida State and Clemson."
