Confident Floridian Has AU On His Early List

A report on linebacker/fullback prospect who put up big numbers as a junior is featured.

Apopka, Fla.--Outside linebacker and fullback Quentin Taylor (6-1, 215, 4.6) says he has offers from West Virginia, Syracuse, Auburn and Mississippi State, and more could be on the way, he adds.

"These are the only offers I have on paper, but I have some others that are verbal," he said.

"Maryland told me they're going to offer two linebackers from my class," said Taylor. "(LB) Coach (Tim) Banks said they've narrowed it down to 10, that I'm one of 'em, and that I've gotta be ready, 'cause they don't wanna waste any time.

"I'm pretty open. I'd like to play in the SEC, ACC, or Big Ten. Education, conference and coaches are important to me.

"I like Auburn and Georgia Tech. I like the way the Auburn coaches are on the phone; they make it seem all good on the phone.

"A coach at Georgia Tech played at my high school, but I don't know his name. But there's really nothing different about those two schools. There's nothing different between any schools (at all).

"I don't have a problem redshirting, but I don't want to redshirt and then have to share time after. I ain't coming to sit on the bench.

"Schools are recruiting me at outside linebacker (70 tackles/2 int/12 sacks), but I also play fullback (120 car/930 yds/13TDs) in our wing-T offense at Apopka.

"Can't nobody stop me," he added. "I'm the best. I put in the hard work to be an all-around linebacker. My favorite thing is taking on a block in the hole and blowing up the play."
