Versatile Big Man Waiting On Offers

This big lineman is receiving plenty of attention from college recruitiers, but is waiting on his first official offer.

Atlanta, Ga.--Chaz Wright is a 6-3, 325-pound lineman out of Decatur High School in Atlanta, Georgia.

He is still awaiting his first offer, but noted he is hearing quite a bit from recruiters. "I have gotten a lot of attention from colleges and my first offer may be coming soon," Wright said.

What are some of the schools showing interest in the big lineman?

"I get letters from a lot of schools," Wright said. "I got some phone calls back in May, but the schools showing me the most attention right now are Mississippi State, Georgia, Florida, Georgia Tech, Oklahoma, Auburn, Duke and Clemson.

"I just got back from camp at Mississippi State and they talked like they may offer soon," Wright added."

Other than Mississippi State, what other camps has he participated in?

"That was my only one so far," Wright explained. "I am going to Georgia on July 9th for sure, but I may try to get to one more. I am not sure yet."

This 325-pound lineman is not only strong, he claims to bench 375 and squat 475, but versatile as well. "Georgia and some other schools are recruiting me as offensive lineman, while Mississippi State likes me on the defensive line," Wright said. "I am open to either side of the ball."

Despite his lack of offers to this point the Decatur High standout said he does have a list of early favorites.

"Right now I like Georgia, Florida, Mississippi State, Clemson and Auburn," he noted. "That would be my top five. That list could change or stay the same when offers start coming in."
