Big TE Prospect Is Having A Busy Summer

This in-state tight end prospect is set to finish up the summer camp circut with a trip to the Plains in July.

Birmingham, Ala.--Charles Hoke, one of the top players in the state and a member of the South Hot 100, is having a busy summer.

Hoke is an outstanding tight end on the football field and he excels on the hardwood. Last week, he was busy at a basketball camp. "We finished 16-2," Hoke said. "We made it to the championship game but lost to a 6A powerhouse out of Tallahassee, Florida."

Prior to the basketball camp, Hoke attended Alabama's senior football camp. "I really enjoyed it," Hoke explained about the experience. "It is always fun to go up against great competition. I don't think I dropped a pass the entire day."

While in Tuscaloosa, the big tight end was able to talk with the Alabama coaches. "I spoke with Coach Shula, Coach Harbison, and Coach Ungerer," he noted. "I would rank the Alabama coaches very high on my list of all the coaches I have met. They are all really impressive."

The Briarwood Christian standout is not ready to name a favorite at this point. "I'm still wide open right now," Hoke said. "I'm considering most of the schools that have offered along with Ole Miss and Auburn. I should have my list narrowed down by the end of the summer."

Hoke also said he only plans on attending one more football camp this summer. "I'm going to Auburn on July 17th and that is probably going to be it for me."
