Talented Guard Prospect Interested In Tigers

This big scoring prospect is attracting plenty of attention from college coaches.

Cordele, Ga.--Lewis Clinch, a 6-3 shooting guard from Crisp County High School, attracted the attention of head coaches such as Billy Donovan of Florida, Mark Gottfried from Alabama, Herb Sendek of North Carolina State, Stan Heath of Arkansas, Tom Izzo of Michigan State and Brian Gregory at the Kentucky Hoopfest.

Clinch, who averaged 25 points per game as a junior, says he is "really open" about his college choice and notes that he expects to sign in the early period in November. Auburn is one of the colleges he is considering and he plans to visit the Tigers on Sept. 18th.

Clinch is also attracting interest from Georgia Tech, Georgia, Arkansas, Clemson, North Carolina State, Miami and Wake Forest. He was his conference's Player of the Year as a junior when he averaged six rebounds, four assists and three steals per game.
