Wide Receiver/Safety Finished With Camp Circuit

An update is featured on a football prospect from Tennessee who is drawing the interest of Auburn and other SEC teams.

Nashville, Tenn.--Austin Rogers, an athlete with four offers, is coming off his fourth and final football camp this past weekend. Rogers is being recruited as both a wide receiver and safety, and he names two leaders among his favorites.

"I have written offers from Mississippi State, Vanderbilt and Tennessee," he says. "I have a verbal offer from Marshall, and the written one should be on the way."

What camps has Rogers attended this summer? "I have been to Virginia, Tennessee, Vanderbilt and just returned from Georgia," he says.

Commenting on the Georgia camp, he says, "I think it went well. I feel I did a real good job there. I worked out at both receiver and safety for the coaches.

"Both during and after the camp, I talked with Coach Eason (WR Coach) and Coach Martinez (DB Coach). They told me things I was doing well and things I need to get better at. It went very well. I took a lot from it."

Other than football, what else did Rogers take in while at Georgia? "I love the campus. I didn't know it was that big. I thought Athens was a little town, but it was a lot bigger than I thought. I really liked all things about the campus--the academic center, weight room and just the campus itself."

What team or teams top Rogers' list? "Georgia and Tennessee are my top two," he says. "After that, it would be, Auburn, Virginia and Mississippi State."
