Camps Help Big Tight End Get Noticed

This tight end from Georgia has been making a name for himself on the camp circuit this summer.

Brunswick, Ga.--Jake Bradford is a name most recruitniks are not aware of. Bradford plays tight end for The Red Terrors of Glynn Academy in Brunswick, GA.

The Glynn Academy offense does not throw the ball much, so he doesn't have stats that blow recruiters away to this point.

However, what he does have is size, at six-foot-six, 231-pounds, and intelligence (3.87 GPA / 1120 SAT). Those two important qualities along with his performance in some camps have got his name circulating throughout the recruiting ranks.

What schools are looking Bradford's way?

"I am getting letters from a lot of schools now," Bradford says. "Schools like Georgia Tech, Auburn, South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Central Florida, Duke and Arkansas are sending me a lot of letters.

"I think the camps really helped me this summer," the upcoming senior adds. "I caught around 20 passes last year (led the team), but we were mainly a running team. We have a new coach this year that says he is going to throw it more my way."

What did Bradford list as the strengths and weakness' of his game?

"My strengths are definitely my hands and catching passes," he explains. "I need to work on my blocking and getting stronger."

Who are the early favorites for the big tight end? "Auburn, Georgia Tech, Duke and Florida," Bradford says about his early leaders.

What is he looking for in a school before making his decision?

"Just a good school in general. Someone that has good athletic program along with great academics."

Bradford is an intelligent, big target at tight end that looks to have a lot of potential and may be a name you want to keep an eye on throughout the fall.
