Wide Receiver Prospect Still Considering Colleges

A recruiting report updates a prospect who was a standout at an AU summer football camp.

LaGrange, Ga.--Demoreo Ford, who was a standout at an Auburn passing camp earlier this summer, has had a consistent leader from the very beginning.

"I like Kentucky, Auburn, Alabama, Mississippi State and Arkansas," the LaGrange High wide receiver says. "Kentucky is my leader."

Why have the Wildcats maintained their advantage? "They've offered me a scholarship and I really like the campus. I've seen the stuff they do up there and I like it a lot. They have a pretty big lead."

Demoreo Ford (in blue) looks to get opening in a team passing camp at Auburn.

What stands out about the other schools on the list for the 5-10, 165, 4.5 receiver?

Auburn: "We go over there a lot because it's so close. They have a good system."

Alabama: "I don't really know much about them, but I like how they play."

Mississippi St: "I talked to their coaches and I saw the facilities and I liked them."

Arkansas: "Same as Alabama pretty much. I don't know that much about them."

Is there a reason Ford hasn't gone ahead and committed to the Bluegrass Cats? "I'm just waiting for the right moment really," he says. "I'm going to visit up there on our open week, which is like 3 or 4 weeks from now, to see some more of the program. The main thing I'm looking at is just the competition level."
