Out of State Leader for Mississippi DE/TE

Stacy Jones, a big time defensive end / tight end prospect out of Mississippi claims to hold over forty offers now. Jones has a top four, but one team is leading right now. Who is his leader and when does he plan to make his decision?

"My top four are Mississippi State, Memphis, Auburn and Georgia," said Stacy Jones.

Who is his leader?

"Auburn has risen to the top of my list. They are now my leader. They were first recruiting me as a tight end, but now they like me as defensive end. I really like that, because I want to play defense. I also like the way that their program is run."

Jones was quick to point out who was running second on his list and why.

"Memphis is second for me…I really like Joe Lee Dunn and his defensive philosophy. I have known Coach Dunn for about ten years now and am real comfortable with him."

"I will probably visit all of my top four and maybe one more." Jones is out of action this week and he may end up not missing any time due to Hurricane Ivan. Jones has a mild concussion due to a helmet to helmet hit he put on a running back last week. He is not allowed any contact for seven days. Through three games, Jones claims around fifty tackles, three forced fumbles, one punt block and three sacks.
