"It was a big win for them," McKenzie says. "Everything they do now is looking really good. I really like how they are playing. I talked to all the coaches and most of the players. You could tell how happy they were in the locker room after the game."
The Florida Gators have ranked at the top as a favorite, but after Auburn's big win on Saturday things are starting to change for the talented prospect.
"I don't know if I could say Florida is my favorite anymore," McKenzie explains. "Auburn is really starting to turn my head. I am really looking at Auburn, Florida, Miami, and LSU. Texas, Oklahoma, and Notre Dame are starting to come into the picture."
"I have not ruled Alabama out yet, they just have not really played any big games and I heard they lost their quarterback," he adds. "I am still going to go to a game though, but Auburn, Florida, Miami, and LSU are the main ones right now."
Several coaches are calling the big tight end and McKenzie has made a few calls on his own.
"Every school that has offered me a scholarship has called me," he notes. "Such schools as Auburn, Alabama, South Carolina, Florida State, Miami, Florida, and Southern Miss have called. I have called Coach Whitt at Auburn. I am going to start calling Auburn a lot during the week. I have called Coach Cristobal at Miami. I have also called Coach Zook and Coach Wickline at Florida."
A decision is still on hold for the four-star tight end. "I am going to wait until after my season," McKenzie says. "I want to take my official visits before I make a decision. I am really focused on my team right now."
McKenzie adds that he is still planning on checking out quite a few more college games before the end of the season.
"I went to the South Carolina-Georgia game," he notes. "It was a pretty good game. I am probably going to check out South Carolina, but I really don't know yet. I am going to try and go to a few Florida games and I am still looking for a few other games. I will go to an Alabama game."
