Forward Checking Out Lebo's Tigers

This recruiting report features news on a basketball prospect considering Auburn.

Pickens, S.C.--An Auburn basketball team in major need of height in the next recruiting class is in the mix for an athletic forward from Prince Avenue Prep.

Josh Dollard, a 6-8, 215-pounder, was on the Auburn campus this past weekend for an official visit and plans to check out Virginia Tech this weekend.

"Josh told me he had a real good visit and he is considering Auburn," says his coach, Mark Knight

Knight says that Dollard is also looking at Tennessee, Indiana, UAB and Oklahoma and is being recruited by other colleges.

"This kid is a stud," Knight says. "He has the wing-span of someone who is 7-1. He is an excellent outside shooter who handles the ball well and is a natural three (small forward). With his reach and athletic ability, he is a very strong defensive player."

Dollard, who also plays defensive end and linebacker for Prince Avenue Prep, averaged 22 points and 13 rebounds per game last season.

Knight says that Dollard is on track to be an academic qualifier and adds that he is player who can be an impact performer whichever college he chooses. "He will start immediately as a freshman in college," the coach predicts.

Jeff Lebo's Auburn team has one verbal commitment so far from Rasheem Barrett, a 6-4 1/2 guard from Marist School in Atlanta.
