Thomaston, Ga.--When talking about prospects being recruited as athletes, not many others are being recruited to play the variety of positions that Fred Bussey is.

A 6-1, 225-pound quarterback for Upson Lee High, Bussey has the size and speed (4.7)to play a number of positions on the college level and is being recruited as a quarterback, linebacker, fullback and safety.

Bussey is holding at two offers right now, but he is garnering quite a bit of attention from other programs.

"I am still holding offers from Auburn and Florida right now," the 6-1, 225-pounder says. "Other schools that are showing a lot of interest in me are Kentucky, Georgia Southern, Jacksonville State, Tennessee, Louisville and Georgia."

Is the vesatile standout ready to name a leader?

"I would have to say Florida is my leader," Bussey says. "They have been recruiting me very hard since the spring. I like their program and their coaches.

"I like Auburn, Georgia Southern, Georgia and Kentucky too," he adds.

That multi-talented senior says that most of the colleges he is hearing from are interested in him for different positions. "Florida wants me as a rover, Auburn wants me at fullback, Georgia Southern wants me at quarterback, Georgia says linebacker or safety and Kentucky wants me as a quarterback," Bussey explains. "I am really open to playing anything, it doesn't matter to me."

Bussey says he plans to wait until the season is over before deciding who he will visit. He notes that he wants to see all his options before setting dates for visits, but adds that Florida will definitely get one of his official visits.

Bussey has lead The Knights of Upson Lee to a 5-1 record and they are looking to improve on that this Friday against Stockbridge.
