SEC Leader for Mississippi Prep Star

Stacy Jones of Columbus, Mississippi is claiming around fifty offers to this point. This athlete is being recruited to play some tight end, defensive end and outside linebacker on the college level. With all those offers, Jones has five schools that he likes right now, but goes on to name one as his leader. Who is his leader and what stands out about this team to give them the edge?

"My top five would be Alabama, Florida State, Auburn, Georgia and Memphis," said Stacy Jones.

"My leader is still Auburn, though."

What keeps Auburn out in front for Mr. Jones?

"When I visited there unofficially earlier this year, I just felt very comfortable there. It was like I already played there. I would like to play tight end and Auburn wants me for that position and I feel I can come in and contribute early there."

Is his lean heavy enough to Auburn to make him have thoughts of committing?

"Not yet, I do want to take all five visits before committing to anyone."

Where has Jones been to this year for an unofficial?

"I've been to games at Mississippi State/Maine, State/Tulane, Alabama/Western Carolina, and Auburn/Louisiana Tech. I went with my dad to the Auburn game last weekend. Coach Tuberville talked to me about being a Tiger one day and asked how the season was going. The atmosphere was tense inside of Jordan Hare, I loved the big crowd."

"Alabama and Auburn have great, intense crowds. Both are very intimidating places to play. Mississippi State is not as big as Auburn and Alabama, but their fans can get rowdy too. There is a great atmosphere outside of the stadium in Starkville. Those people get there when the sun rises. I plan on going to Georgia this weekend for an unofficial also."

Jones has been back a few weeks now from a concussion that kept him out about two weeks earlier this year. He is now one hundred percent and has around sixty tackles on the year…
