Peach State WR Names Top 3

Jarvis Smith, of Atlanta, Georgia, is playing for one the top teams in Georgia this year. Douglas has one of the top running backs (James Davis), so Smith, a wide receiver, may not be putting up big time stats, but that hasn't slowed down the offers coming in. Smith has picked up two new offers and is ready to name a top three.

"I have picked up a couple more offers in the last two weeks," said Jarvis Smith. "Maryland and Connecticut sent their written offers to me not too long ago."

Smith now claims to have around eleven or twelve offers, but three schools are standing out for him. Who are his top three?

"Auburn, Connecticut and Maryland are my top three. I have liked those three for a while now."

What is it that he likes about each program?

Auburn: "like the offense, the west coast is nice to play"
Maryland: "Coach Friedgen is great"
Connecticut: "upcoming program and they throw the ball a lot"

What other schools is Jarvis Smith considering?

"Mississippi State, Memphis, Ole Miss, Oklahoma State are the others. All of those have offered. Alabama, Tulane and a few others are still recruiting me like they may offer."

Does Smith plan to take five visits later this year?

"Yes, I do plan to take all five of my visits before making my decision."

Smith is a guy that doesn't get talked about as much as other receivers because of his numbers, but he says "when they need a third down conversion, I am the man they call on. I will do whatever it takes to win. If that means blocking or being a decoy, that is okay with me."
